5 Ways to use a Long Training Leash

Let's face it, we love playing with our dogs but sometimes they require more energy than we can give (not a runner myself).

Here are 5 ways that you can use a long leash to have fun and give your dog some well deserved exercise.

1. Throwing the ball

If your dog is good at catch or just wants to chase after something, tossing the ball can be great exercise for your dog.

2. Good Ol' Running Around

If your dog is like mine, sometimes they just want to get the run out. It's nice to give your dog some freedom to let them do what they really love.

3. Recall Training

A long leash allows you to perform training tasks while remaining in control. Practice 'come' and 'stay' commands with your pet until they got it down. Or teach them a new trick!

4. Swim Time

If your dog loves to get wet then let them swim! Long leashes allow you to let your dog swim and play fetch while obeying leash laws.

5. Playing with a friend

If you have two dogs that want to run around and one is prone to running off, it's nice to have the more wild dog on a leash. Let you and your dogs friends explore and play together.
